Why is body text important for search engine optimisation?

Body text refers to the main text (the "body of text") that appears on a web page.

Search engines value web sites that have good content to offer visitors. For this reason the text on the page is carefully analysed to gauge how appropriate it is for a specific search. The number of words on the page is also important.

Keywords are strategically placed on the web page to increase search relevance. The number of keywords placed is determined by the total amount of words in the body text. Typically it is good to have at least 100 words on the page being optimised. Keyword density must be balanced.
